International Ocean & Safety Expo Kicks Off in Incheon with Korea Coast Guard's Latest Vessels and Aircraft on Display

The 2026 International Ocean & Safety Expo, the only marine safety exhibition of its kind in the Seoul metropolitan area, opened on June 17 at Songdo Convensia in Incheon.
Now in its eighth edition, the International Ocean & Safety Expo is jointly hosted by the Korea Coast Guard and the Incheon Metropolitan City, and co-organized by the Incheon Tourism Organization, Reed K. Fairs, and KOTRA. The exhibition will run for three days through June 19.
This year's event features the latest technologies and equipment from leading companies across the maritime industry, including shipbuilders such as HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, HJ Shipbuilding & Construction, and Kangnam Corporation; maritime ICT companies including KT SAT and Marineworks; aerospace companies such as Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and Leonardo; and engine and propulsion specialists including STX Engine and Rolls-Royce.
The exhibition also features the “National Life Safety Pavilion,” jointly operated by the Korea Coast Guard, National Police Agency, National Fire Agency, and the Republic of Korea Navy. Visitors can participate in a variety of hands-on programs, including CPR training, knot-tying demonstrations, Korea Coast Guard equipment exhibitions, and maritime safety quiz competitions. This year, a new rotational physical fitness test experience zone operated by the Korea Coast Guard and the Police Agency has also been introduced.
Marineworks unveiled its AI-powered Smart Ship Platform and maritime safety solutions at the exhibition, highlighting its advanced digital technologies designed to improve operational efficiency and safety at sea. The company also presented innovative solutions and future-oriented technologies that support the digital transformation of the maritime industry, drawing strong interest from industry professionals and visitors alike.
